Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Theta Alpha Zeta Chapter will hold a Masquerade Ball on Friday, March 9, 2012 at the Memorial Art Gallery (500 University Ave.) to support Zeta Phi Beta’s Scholarship and the Scleroderma Foundation, Tri State Chapter.
Guests will enjoy a Tour of the Gallery, Hors d’oeuvres, catered by Max and an Open Bar of Wine and Beer at 7:00 pm. Dancing to a live band and deejay will take place from  9:00 pm to 11:00 pm.  Entertainment will be provided by the Ice Band and Deejay Shawn. Formal attire is required and masks are suggested. Our Recommended Mask Vendor is Arlene’s Costumes (1225 Portland Avenue). A portion of masks sales will be donated in support of the scholarship and the foundation. A mask contest and a silent auction will also accompany the event.
All proceeds will support the sorority’s annual contribution of scholarships for deserving high school seniors.  Funds will also support the vital work of the Scleroderma Foundaton in providing educational and emotional support to people with Scleroderma and their families.  Scleroderma is a progressive disease that affects the skin and corrective tissues including, cartilage and bone. Since Scleroderma presents with symptoms similar to other autoimmune diseases, diagnosis is difficult, and there may be many misdiagnosed or undiagnosed cases, as well.
For more information on the Scleroderma Foundation, Tri State Chapter, please contact Jay Peak, Executive Director at 1-800-867-0885 or via email, jpeak@scleroderma.org.
